On 15–16 January 2022, SUBX FINANCE LAB was a proud sponsor for Asia’s largest student-run entrepreneurship conference — UNICON 2022 — that took place online on Youtube!
UNICON is an online conference stacked with a number of successful panels that serves to unite international student entrepreneurs, local start-ups, investors and venture capitalists.
This year’s conference also hosted TigerLaunch, the world’s largest student-led pitching competition. The judging panel consists of partners from top venture capitals in Asia and they will be selecting the region’s top startup who will win an expense-paid trip to Princeton University to pitch at the TigerLaunch Finals. There, finalists will need to compete with the best startups from all around the world for a grand prize of $25,000 USD!
In the spirit of empowering women, UNICON 2022 was honoured to have Ms Sun Xueling — Singapore’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social and Family Development as this year’s Guest-of-Honour! Ms Sun believes that the road to success is long and winding, with detours and pitfalls along the way, but as young entrepreneurs, one must always remember the spark that first ignited one’s interest, and have the will to overcome these challenges and find the solution to the problem faced!
Hundreds of viewers attended the conference and were treated to over 50 renowned professional speakers , consisting of hyper-focused keynote speeches, fireside chats, panels discussions and live Q&A sessions to help take their business and entrepreneurship skills to the next level. The all-in-one event brought attendees closer to startup founders and investors while allowing them to network with like-minded individuals. Having one of the biggest markets in the global economy, more and more successful startups are emerging from the ASEAN region. Founders from Singapore and neighbouring countries shared their insights, experiences, and trends in their respective economies.
